今天，當我們凝視著革命先烈們用鮮血染紅的國旗，我們的思緒仿佛又回到了那炮火紛飛的歲月。在祖國危急存亡的時刻，為了祖國的解放，無數(shù)的革命先烈們，拋頭顱，灑熱血，戰(zhàn)火中出生入死，監(jiān)牢里堅貞不屈，刑場上大義凜然。他們用生命，用熱血，換來了華夏民族的新生，譜寫了一曲曲壯烈的愛國樂章。今天，我演講的故事的題目是：“寧死也不做俘虜”

在黑龍江省牡丹江市江濱公園的廣場上，矗立著一座白色群雕，群雕雕刻的是八名神情各異的女戰(zhàn)士，它再現(xiàn)了中國抗戰(zhàn)史上悲壯的一幕。

1938年夏天，日本關東軍在松花江下游展開了“三江大討伐”，東北抗聯(lián)第四、五軍為擺脫困境被迫向西轉移。隊伍中，有第五軍婦女團，當時，任婦女團指導員的冷云，為了革命事業(yè)，告別剛剛出生兩個月的孩子，強忍悲痛，隨部隊西征。

1938年十月的一天，部隊撤退到了烏斯渾河邊，部隊決定晚上就在岸邊休息，第二天清晨再過河。很快，戰(zhàn)士們在篝火旁睡熟了。但他們沒有想到，篝火暴露了目標。特務把消息報告給了日本人，后半夜，日本人糾集了一千多日偽軍，把抗聯(lián)戰(zhàn)士包圍了。

第二天拂曉，日偽軍開始向抗聯(lián)戰(zhàn)士發(fā)起進攻。婦女團的宿營地離大部隊比較遠，冷云聽到槍聲后馬上命令女戰(zhàn)士們臥倒，所以，敵人并沒有發(fā)現(xiàn)她們，而是直接向大部隊逼近。

在這生死關頭，冷云果斷地組織女戰(zhàn)士們從背后襲擊敵人，吸引日偽軍火力，掩護大部隊突圍。最終，抗聯(lián)主力部隊順利突出重圍。盡管抗聯(lián)主力部隊多次組織抗聯(lián)戰(zhàn)士回來營救八名女戰(zhàn)士，但終因日軍火力強大而未能成功。

被包圍的八名女戰(zhàn)士投出了最后一顆手榴彈，在背水作戰(zhàn)、彈盡糧絕的情況下，冷云堅定地隊大家說：“同志們，我們是共產(chǎn)黨員、抗聯(lián)戰(zhàn)士，寧死也不做俘虜!為祖國的解放而戰(zhàn)死，是我們最大的光榮!”她們折斷槍支，高唱著《《國際歌》》，挽臂走入波濤滾滾的烏斯渾河，集體沉江，壯烈殉國。犧牲時，他們中年齡最大的25歲，最小的才13歲。

“八女投江”的悲烈壯舉，令敵人震撼。日軍指揮官連聲哀嘆，“連女人都不怕死，中國滅亡不了!”正是因為中國人民具有“八女投江”這樣英勇不屈的氣節(jié)，我們才取得了抗日戰(zhàn)爭的偉大勝利。
